ALOHA! Welcome to BYU-Hawaii!  We are pleased to offer a variety of services to as*ist students with a disability and other kinds of challenges.  Disability Services (DS) works with students individually to plan for their unique abilities and challenges while Disabilities Services exists to as*ist students in functioning in and graduating from Brigham Young University-Hawaii in spite of physical, learning, or other challenges. We coordinate efforts, services, and programs that are as*istive, supportive, and empowering. We allow students to do for themselves all that they can do and then encourage and support them in their educational goals. How does a student with a disability request academic accommodations? What docu*ents should be submitted? How does the process work? Nearly all student’s dietary needs can be met through collaborative efforts with BYU-Hawaii Club Dining Facility. In rare instances, students with high-risk dietary condition may require special dining-related services or an accommodation to the meal plan. The Housing accommodations are only granted due to substantial need as evidenced by the docu*entation submitted from a student’s healthcare provider.
